Members of Congress,
As Americans, we are deeply concerned that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has been spending hundreds of millions of our tax dollars to fund ineffective and harmful school-based “comprehensive sexuality education” (CSE) programs for our children.
A new independent report (SexEdReport.org) shows a lack of evidence that these CSE programs are preventing teen pregnancy or STDs or are increasing teen abstinence or consistent teen condom use.
In fact, a number of these CSE programs, which contain graphic and inappropriate content for children, actually increased sexual risk behaviors among teens.
There is no justification for continuing to waste millions of taxpayer dollars on these ineffective programs.
Therefore, we call upon Members of Congress to protect our children and zero out federal funding for these controversial programs in the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget and beyond.
