Public Commenting Open NOW! (10-28-21)

Dear Friends:

We need you to COMMENT now! These comments are part of the public record for the next state board of education meeting, November 5th, 2021.

Please let the Nebraska Department of Education know that you are concerned!

  1. The health sex education standards process appears to have been manipulated from the very beginning. No follow-up comments or action plans have been made to prevent this from happening again. How can we trust the Nebraska Department of Education or the State School Board Members?
  2. Equity and Anti-Racism resources are still being promoted by the Nebraska Department of Education. Please review them here!
  3. The Nebraska State Board of Education must make a public statement condemning the recent Department of Justice’s directive, which includes labeling concerned parents as domestic terrorists. Nebraskans need reassurance that the state school board values parental involvement and respects parental rights.

Written public comment can be submitted electronically at the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1diDqAI2CsRu9V_aKtRGj1aSbdNOvnRkdALTL12hV1-s/edit?ts=6171a642. Comments must be received by 9:00 a.m. on November 4th, 2021.
